Vandalism At Indian Consulate “Absolutely Unacceptable”: White House

WASHINGTON, DC(ANI) – White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby has said the  vandalism at Indian Consulate in San Francisco is “absolutely unacceptable” and is condemned by the US.

“We certainly condemn that vandalism, it’s unacceptable. State Department’s diplomatic security service is working with local authorities to properly investigate. State department will work on infrastructure perspective to repair the damage,” Kirby said.

Meanwhile, a US State Department spokesperson said, “The United States condemns the attack against the Indian Consulate and any attack against diplomatic facilities within the United States. We pledge to defend the safety and security of these facilities as well as the diplomats who work within them.”

After vandalism in London, Khalistan supporters allegedly attacked Indian Consulate in San Francisco.

The Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies said in a statement, “We strongly suspect Pakistan’s ISI is behind instigating and funding Sikh radicalization with false propaganda. We ask Indian Americans including the Sikh majority to rise against the extremism.”

  • I am shocked beyond words to learn about the attack on Indian consulate in San Francisco. Those who attacked are to be treated as terrorists though no one has been injured. But the damage done by these terrorists through vandalism amount to terrorism activities. Not only those from India, but every one concerned about peace should condemn these terrorists. I am glad that Biden government has acted promptly. I have no doubt that Sikhs will be even more critical in condemning this vandalism carried out for creating Khalistan with the support of those who are against India. These terrorists first attacked temples and now they are after easy target of consulates.

  • There is no visible evidence to show that Sikhs in India are discriminated against or are second-class citizens. In general, Sikhs are a highly respected community and are well-represented in the government and in public life . So why is there a demand for a separate homeland for the Sikhs to be called Khalistan? A Sikh journalist figuratively identifies the whole of India as Khalistan; why ask for a tiny landlocked Khalistan with limited resources and limited opportunities? It makes no sense to a rational person and a majority of the Sikhs in India. Is it a fetish focussed on an illogical and irrational idea or ideal? I profess to be a nominal Hindu but half of my extended family is Sikh.

An unknown Amritpal Singh emerges in Punjab.
Punjab is under a non Bjp govt

It seems to be a mysterious series of coincidents convenient for the Modi govt to further their US & Them agenda of hatred and divide.

The whole issue stinks just like the overall Sangh Parivar aggenda and narrative

  • Vandalism is unacceptable and those responsible should be held accountable. But Foundation India and Indian Diaspora studies are one and tge same based in India with their bias and stigma in blaming their neighbor. 200 million youth need jobs and is 124 out of 137 on the happiness index. Why does it take 80,000 cops unable to find a fugitive for several days
