SANTA CLARA, CA -Tech executive Jayshree Ullal has emerged as the wealthiest Indian origin leader in the global tech sector, according to Hurun India’s latest Rich List for 2025.
Hurun India ranked Ullal, the Chief Executive Officer and President of Arista Networks, ahead of other prominent technology leaders, including Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
Ullal has led Arista Networks for 17 years. She joined the cloud networking company in 2008 and currently oversees its portfolio of software-driven networking products. Before Arista, she held senior roles at Cisco Systems, AMD, and Fairchild Semiconductor.
According to Forbes, Ullal’s net worth stands at $5.7 billion, placing her at 713th on the global rich list. Her wealth has increased by $34 million since 2020, a period marked by growth in artificial intelligence and software-driven services. Arista Networks reported $7 billion in revenue in 2024, as per the same data set.
Earlier this year, Ullal was ranked second among the top five first-generation women wealth creators in the Candere Hurun Indian Women Leaders List 2025. At 63, she remains one of the most prominent women leaders in a sector traditionally dominated by men.
While the net worths of several other Indian-origin technology leaders have seen recent declines, Ullal’s financial standing has continued to rise, reflecting the sustained performance of her company.
Born in the UK, Ullal completed her schooling at the Convent of Jesus & Mary in New Delhi. She later moved to the United States, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from San Francisco State University, followed by a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University in 1986. In 2025, she was also awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering.
