GOPIO-Manhattan Swears In New Leadership Team For 2026–27

NEW YORK,NY – The Manhattan chapter of the Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO-Manhattan) inducted its newly elected Executive Committee and Board of Trustees on May 17 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Manhattan.
The event brought together community leaders, GOPIO members, supporters and local dignitaries.
Professor Rajasekhar Vangapaty was sworn in as president of GOPIO-Manhattan for the 2026–27 term. The newly elected executive team includes Bhavya Gupta as executive vice president, Dr. Vimal Goyle as vice president, Raj Punjabi as secretary, Braj Aggarwal as treasurer and Gagan Gujral as joint secretary.
The Board of Trustees includes Shivender Sofat, Dr. Thomas Abraham, Mukund Mehta, Siddarth Jain, Anil Narang and Neha Motwani.
Dr. Lisa George, Dr. Arnab Ghosh, Manoj Jareth Asig and Jasvir Ubhi were appointed as board members.
GOPIO International Chairman Dr. Thomas Abraham, GOPIO International President Prakash Shah and GOPIO International General Secretary Siddarth Jain attended the ceremony and addressed the gathering.
