Samantha’s Film Becomes First Woman Helmed Telugu Film To Join Rs 100 Cr Club

CHENNAI- Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ has become the first female-led Telugu film to gross Rs 100 crore worldwide, its makers claimed on July 12.

Tralala Moving Pictures, Samantha’s production house, which produced the film, announced the box-office milestone on Instagram.

The action entertainer, which hit screens on June 19, features Samantha in the lead. The family action-comedy drama was created by filmmaker Raj Nidimoru and directed by filmmaker Nandini Reddy.

Apart from Samantha, the film features actors Diganth and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles.

Samantha, who also produced the film, had spoken about the project in January.

“Maa Inti Bangaaram tells the story of a woman whose strength comes as much from her vulnerability as from her courage. Playing this character and nurturing this film as a producer has been an incredibly fulfilling journey for me,” she said. (IANS)
