Shweta Maurya Appointed Senior Product Manager In CA Governor’s Office

SACRAMENTO, CA – California Gov. Gavin Newsom has appointed Shweta Maurya of Campbell, CA as Senior Product Manager at the state’s Office of Data and Innovation.

Maurya previously worked at Chime from 2019 to 2025 in roles spanning strategy, operations and program management. She earlier served as a program manager at Amazon and began her career as a mechanical engineer at Randall Lamb.

She holds an MBA from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado.

The position does not require Senate confirmation and carries an annual salary of $154,860.
