Canada Makes Explosive Charge: Amit Shah Behind Murder Plots
India-West News Desk
OTTAWA – Canada has accused India’s Home Affairs Minister, Amit Shah, of orchestrating a campaign of violence and intimidation targeting Sikh separatists in Canada, marking a serious escalation in the diplomatic rift between the two countries.
Shah, a close ally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a key figure in India’s government, was publicly named in testimony by Canadian Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister David Morrison, who confirmed to the Washington Post that Shah was implicated in a recent series of assassination plots against Canadian Sikh activists.
Trudeau’s national security adviser, Nathalie Drouin, testified that Canada has documented evidence of India using diplomatic channels and proxies to surveil Canadian Sikhs and gather information on Indian nationals in Canada.
This revelation has intensified scrutiny on India, already facing broader allegations of transnational repression, The Guardian said. While the Indian media has been slow on reporting these charges, Western media is speculating strongly on what it means for India’s relations with the West, saying the nation is now a member of the “assassination club.”
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau previously asserted that Canadian intelligence links Indian government officials to “drive-by shootings, home invasions, violent extortion, and even murder.” Trudeau further claimed that these intelligence reports indicate a coordinated campaign that Canadian officials have repeatedly attempted to address through diplomatic channels—efforts that they claim were met with Indian denials and rebuffs.
Indian officials dismissed Canada’s allegations as unfounded accusing Canada of harboring extremists tied to the Sikh terrorist Khalistan movement. It has poor support in India but is active in the North American Sikh diaspora and India is concerned that separatist activists could incite violence in Punjab.
Meanwhile, the U.S. has charge former Indian intelligence officer Vikash Yadav with directing an assassination plot against Sikh terrorist leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in New York

Surveillance is what the Doo-Doo claimed Five Eyes was doing and that is what his claim is of evidence. It would be dumb if India was not doing surveillance of known Indian criminals and terrorists.

Mr. Trudeau, we charge you for deliberately harboring and supporting persons India deemed terrorists. Why do you do that if you cared to have friendly relations with India? If Khalistanis are so lovable, give them a Khalistan in the mostly empty Canadian landscape.
