GOPIO Chamber Hosts Networking Luncheon In New York

NEW YORK, NY – The GOPIO Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) hosted a networking luncheon on February 1 in Manhattan, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders to discuss the growing opportunities for the Indian diaspora in technology and innovation.
Held at the office conference room of GOPIO Life Member Braj Aggarwal, the luncheon served as a platform for new technology companies and investors to connect and explore collaboration opportunities.
The event opened with a welcome address by Dr. Thomas Abraham, Chairman of GOPIO International, who emphasized the GCCI’s mission to connect small and medium-sized businesses within the Indian diaspora locally and internationally. “This initiative will offer great networking opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs,” said Dr. Abraham.
Prakash Shah, President of GOPIO International, highlighted the upcoming GOPIO Convention in Brisbane, Australia, scheduled for March 28-30, 2025. The convention’s theme, “The Diaspora’s Role in Shaping Future Technologies,” will explore a wide range of technological topics, including artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, nanotechnology, and biomedical innovations.
Attendees also heard from guest speaker Raj Lakha, a London-based investor, who spoke about the growing potential for investment in sectors like Longevity Medicine, AI, and Fintech. Lakha encouraged the Indian diaspora to seize opportunities in these emerging fields, noting their potential to promote health and longevity.
