90s Icon Udit Narayan Firmly Believes Melody Never Dies
MUMBAI (IANS)- Playback singer Udit Narayan, a dominant voice in 1990s Bollywood, recently recorded the title song for the upcoming film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya Phir Se’.
Narayan shared that the song, “Maine Pyar Kiya Phir Se,” is exceptionally melodious – a quality he feels has become rare in contemporary Bollywood music.
Discussing the film’s soundtrack, he elaborated, “All the songs for this film are written by our producer Rony, with music by Dilip Sen and Sameer Sen. My solo song is complete, and the title track was recorded today. The title ‘Maine Pyar Kiya Phir Se’ is beautiful, and the music is equally so. The film’s star cast, including Dharam sir and Arbaaz Khan, is also excellent, promising a very good outcome.”
The singer described his recorded song as a beautiful romantic sad track. He emphasized that all the film’s songs are highly melodious, asserting that melody is the only element in music that truly endures.
“Melody never dies; it is always immortal,” he said. “All the songs in this film are very melodious. Dilip Sen and Sameer Sen have composed music for numerous top films. It’s wonderful that after so long, they’ve received such a significant project, and they will undoubtedly pour their heart into it.”
Narayan also commented on the ongoing controversy in Maharashtra regarding the conflict between Hindi and Marathi languages.
“I am an artist, and Mumbai is my workplace. My job is to entertain people; that’s all I know,” he stated. “Learning Marathi is necessary when you are working in Maharashtra, so Marathi is very important. However, all the languages in our country are equally important to us.”
