Salim Khan Recovering After Brain Hemorrhage

MUMBAI– Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, of the legendary Salim-Javed duo, is currently being treated at a Mumbai hospital following a brain hemorrhage.

According to Dr. Jaleel Parkar, who is overseeing his care, the hemorrhage is minimal and does not require surgery. While medical staff previously discussed a potential discharge, a final decision has been deferred until his condition stabilizes further.

Salim Khan was admitted on February 17 after experiencing high blood pressure. Doctors performed a Digital Subtraction Angiography to assess his condition. As a precautionary measure, he was placed on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit to provide backup support.

While his recovery is expected to be slow due to his age, Dr. Parkar noted that the writer is “doing better” and remains under close observation.

Upon hearing the news, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan reportedly paused his film shoot at Madh Island to rush to the hospital. Other family members, including daughters Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Arpita Khan, as well as actor Aayush Sharma, have also been seen at the facility to support the veteran writer. (IANS)
