Fresh Global Buzz For SRK As Academy Shares Iconic Dialogue
MUMBAI- Shah Rukh Khan received a nod from the Academy, which shared his iconic speech from the 2007 film ‘Om Shanti Om’ on its official Instagram account.
On April 16, the Academy posted a clip featuring Shah Rukh Khan’s dialogue from the film and wrote in the caption, “One thing about destiny… it doesn’t miss. Film: OM SHANTI OM (2007) Directed by Farah Khan Written by Farah Khan, Mushtaq Shiekh and Mayur Puri Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal, Shreyas Talpade and Kirron Kher.”
‘Om Shanti Om’, directed by filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan, is regarded as a landmark commercial Hindi film that blended romance, reincarnation, and self-aware humor. The film starred Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role and marked the acting debut of actress Deepika Padukone.
Released in 2007, the film became a major box office success and went on to earn cult status for its grand sets, dramatic storytelling, music, and tribute to Bollywood cinema.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in director Atlee’s blockbuster film ‘Jawan’, for which he won the National Film Award for Best Actor. He shared the honor with actor Vikrant Massey, who was recognized for his performance in ’12th Fail.’
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in ‘King’, directed by Siddharth Anand, who earlier worked with the actor in ‘Pathaan.’ (IANS)
