Nora Fatehi To Perform At FIFA 2026 Opening Ceremony

TORONTO– Nora Fatehi will perform and sing at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Toronto.

The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on June 12 at BMO Field here. Nora Fatehi will share the stage with Canadian singer Michael Bublé, singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette, singer Alessia Cara, Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna, singer Jessie Reyez, music producer Sanjoy, French singer Vegedream and singer-songwriter William Prince.

The USA opening ceremony lineup includes global music stars Anitta, Future, Katy Perry, Lisa, Rema and Tyla, making the FIFA World Cup 2026 a major blend of international music, culture and entertainment.

“The opening ceremony in Toronto will be a powerful reflection of Canada’s identity and the energy surrounding the FIFA World Cup 2026,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said.

The FIFA President added, “Through music, culture, and unforgettable performances, we will welcome the world with a celebration that is uniquely Canadian while also connected to a larger story unfolding across Mexico and the United States. It will be a moment of pride, unity, and anticipation as Canada takes its place on football’s biggest stage.”

The FIFA World Cup 2026 will feature 104 matches across 16 host cities, beginning on June 11 in Mexico City and concluding with the final on July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium.

Nora Fatehi made her acting debut with the Hindi film ‘Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans’ in 2014.

She later gained popularity through special appearance songs in Telugu films such as ‘Temper’, ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and ‘Kick 2’. She has also appeared in Malayalam films including ‘Double Barrel’ and ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’. (IANS)
