AHMEDABAD – Jeet Adani, the youngest son of billionaire industrialist Gautam Adani, married Diva Jaimin Shah on February 7 in a private ceremony here. Diva is the daughter of diamond merchant Jaimin Shah. The entire event has drawn praise on social media for its simplicity and been compared to the over-the-top Ambani weddings.
The wedding followed traditional Jain and Gujarati customs. A video shared on social media captured the couple exchanging garlands, with Jeet kissing Diva on the forehead. The heartfelt moment was set to the song Nachdi Phira from the film Secret Superstar.
Gautam Adani shared the couple’s wedding photos on social media and he apologized for the limited guest list, writing, “It was a small and extremely private function, so we could not invite all the well-wishers even as we wanted to, for which I apologise. I sincerely seek blessings and love from all of you for my daughter Diva and Jeet.”
In January, speaking at the Maha Kumbh Mela, he had stated:
“We are like common people. Jeet came here to take Ma Ganga’s blessings. His marriage will happen in a simple and traditional way.”
Charitable Initiatives
Gautam Adani also marked the occasion with a major philanthropic gesture. He donated Rs 10,000 crore to various social causes, including healthcare, education, and skill development. The donation reflects his belief in “Seva Sadhana hai, Seva prarthana hai, Seva hi paramatma hai.” The funds will be directed towards affordable hospitals, medical colleges, K-12 schools, and skill academies aimed at improving employability.
Ahead of the wedding, Jeet and Diva visited Mitti Cafe, an NGO focused on creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities. They interacted with employees, cut a cake, and spent quality time with them. Jeet has been closely associated with Mitti Cafe, having helped inaugurate one of its outlets.
Two days before the wedding, Gautam Adani launched the Mangal Seva initiative, aimed at supporting newlywed women with disabilities. As part of the initiative, 500 such women will receive Rs 10 lakh annually as financial assistance. Jeet Adani met with 21 newly married women with disabilities and their husbands to kickstart the program.
Jeet Adani, who serves as Director at Adani Airports, is responsible for overseeing operations at six international airports and the development of a seventh in Navi Mumbai. He is also an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. (with ANI inputs)
