AUSTIN, TX – The African American Youth Harvest Foundation in its recently hosted  annual gala featuring Martin Luther King III honored Harish Kotecha, founder of Hindu Charities for America (HC4A), its Humanitarian Award.

Michael Lofton, Executive Director of AAYHF, said, it “was a true blessing” to have HC4A as one of their strategic partners who volunteered numerous hours providing technology support and cyber-security certifications for the youth.  HC4A also provided more than 14,000 backpacks, filled with school supplies, for children and youth in homeless and high-poverty situations.

Kotecha’s work through HC4A has made a significant impact on the lives of African American youth and families in the Austin area. Over 800 students have received scholarships that aid in escaping poverty.

AAYHF is a non-profit organization that provides support and resources to African American youth and families in the Austin area. Its programs focus on education, leadership development, and economic empowerment.
