Akshay Kumar Donates Rs 1 Crore To Feed Monkeys In Ayodhya
AYODHYA, (ANI) – Akshay Kumar has joined an initiative to feed Ayodhya’s monkey population, a city revered for its association with Lord Ram. Ahead of Diwali, Akshay donated ₹1 crore to support the feeding effort and paid tribute to his late parents, Hari Om and Aruna Bhatia, and his father-in-law, the late veteran star Rajesh Khanna, by having their names displayed on the feeding van.
This initiative is led by the Anjaneya Sewa Trust, guided by Jagatguru Swami Raghavacharya. Priya Gupta, founder-trustee of Anjaneya Sewa Trust, highlighted Akshay’s compassion and commitment: “I have always known Akshay Kumar to be an extremely kind and generous man, whether with his staff, crew, co-actors, or family members. He not only donated instantly and generously but also dedicated this noble seva in the name of his parents and his father-in-law Rajesh Khanna.”
Gupta also emphasized Akshay’s social responsibility, stating, “Akshay is not just a generous donor but an equally socially conscious citizen of India. He expressed concern for the residents of Ayodhya, and we will ensure that our efforts to feed the monkeys do not inconvenience the community or lead to littering on the streets of Ayodhya.”
