ARTESIA, CA – The Artesia City Council has expanded the city’s Security Rebate Program to allow eligible business owners, along with residents, to receive reimbursements for qualifying security systems. Artesia is home to Southern California’s ‘Little India.’
Under the expanded program, residents may receive rebates of up to $250, while business owners may qualify for up to $500. Eligible equipment includes monitored alarm systems, security cameras, doorbell cameras, exterior flood lights with cameras, motion sensor lights with cameras and similar security products.
Applications must be submitted within 60 days of the equipment purchase date. Residential applicants must provide proof of residency, while commercial applicants must submit a valid business license. Applicants must also provide a paid receipt or invoice dated July 1, 2026, or later, along with photos showing that the equipment has been installed.
Cameras must have a minimum resolution of 1080p and provide access to footage for at least seven days. Applicants seeking reimbursement for cameras must also submit images showing the installed camera angles covering public-facing areas and proof of registration with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Camera Registry.
Only one rebate is available per address. Funding is limited, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Completed applications may be submitted by mail or in person to Artesia City Hall or emailed to Danielle Osborne, the city’s management analyst. Application forms and full program requirements are available on the city’s website- http://cityofartesia.us/rebates
