SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Ezhilvanan Oppilamani, also known as EV, is making a name for himself in the US music scene by combining his passion for choreography and music to bridge cultural gaps.
Originally from Chennai, he moved to California for his studies. Despite his academic and professional pursuits, he dedicated time to music and choreography, actively supporting non-profit organizations.
EV’s debut album, “Pollatha Kadhal,” was released on the Black Sheep YouTube Channel and later on the Isaiaruvi Television channel. He played a versatile role in its creation, directing the track, contributing to the main concept, performing, and assisting with choreography, a press statement said.
In his second track, “Macha Swag,” featuring vocals by Isaivani and Vrusha, EV was involved in songwriting, conceptualization, direction, and choreography. His collaboration with Akthas for the next track saw him as a music producer, director, and performer, seeking choreography guidance from Sandy and Manichandra for the subsequent two tracks.
Under the mentorship of composer Anirudh, Ezhilvanan delved into musical composition for his upcoming track. With two untitled tracks on the horizon, his accomplishments are on the rise.
EV’s recent successful flash mob for Indian singer Falguni Pathak’s show in the US showcased his exceptional choreography skills. He has also volunteered, organized, and directed numerous shows through the ‘Macha Swag’ dance school, collaborating with various venues, including community events and educational institutions.
