Divya Dutta Rejects Bollywood Vs Regional Cinema Debate

MUMBAI-Veteran actress Divya Dutta has said it is unfair to generalize Bollywood or regional cinema, stressing that the success of a film ultimately depends on the strength of its story and presentation.

Speaking at the premiere of Punjabi comedy film ‘Carry On Jatta 4’, Divya Dutta shared her views on comparisons between Bollywood and regional cinema, particularly in the comedy genre.

When asked whether regional cinema handles comedy better than Bollywood and if something is missing from Hindi comedy films, the actress said an entire industry cannot be judged through a single lens. She added that whether a film belongs to Hindi, regional or international cinema, a strong story and effective presentation are what determine its success.

She said, “It’s not that we can’t generalize. Whether you talk about Hindi films, international or regional, whether the story is good or the presentation is good, I think everything goes well. And I think ‘Carry On Jatta 4’ is going to be one example of that.”  (IANS)
