CHICAGO, IL – The Consulate General of Israel and the Global Indian Diaspora organized an India–Israel Friendship Day celebration that brought together diplomats and community leaders from both countries.

Among those attending were several executives, trustees, directors, and delegates of the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA)-Chicago, which has been active since 1980. The event was also attended by the Consul General of Israel and his team, the Deputy Consul General of India, and several community leaders.

The program celebrated the friendship between India and Israel with a blend of culture, food, music, and dance, highlighting the coming together of two ancient civilizations. Attendees enthusiastically took part in the celebrations and enjoyed the performances.

Organizers said India and Israel share a long history of friendship and are natural allies, while also facing common challenges, including terrorism.

The Consulate General of Israel proposed that the India–Israel cultural fusion event be held every March as an annual celebration.
