MUMBAI, (IANS) – Maneesh Sharma’s Tiger 3, marking the return of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif as the iconic Tiger-Zoya duo, is already making headlines after its advance booking opened recently and the film sold 1,42,030 tickets in total across all platforms and languages within the first 24 hours.

Set for a worldwide release on November 12, the movie’s teaser, which the makers released three weeks ago, showcased Katrina at her swagger best, with the actor pulling off some exhilarating action moves, among which the towel fight scene with Venom actor Michelle Lee garnered much attention.

Sharing a couple of videos featuring her rigorous workout sessions in preparation for the role, Katrina noted, “For me, when tiger time comes, it’s about pushing my limits, testing my endurance, and finding that strength within. Someone once told me, Pain is just another sensation… Don’t be afraid of it, don’t run from the pain.”  Mentioning that the demanding workout sessions often left her feeling exhausted, she emphasized that preparing for Tiger 3 was notably “different and tougher” in comparison to her previous films. Reflecting on the process, she remembered, “My body was sore, but I would tell myself to take it as a challenge and see how much I could face today.”

Expanding on her dedication to achieving the seemingly impossible, Katrina further noted: “During training, we created an alter ego. So even if I was tired, SHE wasn’t tired; she was going to war! Your mind will stop you much before your body does. Once you decide, commit and do it… no matter what!”

In a recent chat with Mid-Day, Katrina Kaif elaborated on the towel fight scene, revealing that she and Michelle Lee underwent weeks of training under the guidance of action director Oh Sea Young before filming the sequence in Turkey in September 2021.

“It was a difficult sequence to shoot because it has hand-to-hand fighting inside a steamy hammam. [Due to the steam], gripping, fending, and landing the punches and kicks was a challenge. I don’t think there has been a fight sequence like this featuring two women on screen in India,” Katrina added.

Bankrolled by Aditya Chopra, the film boasts a stellar cast including Emraan Hashmi, Revathi, Riddhi Dogra, and Vishal Jethwa. Meanwhile, a recent report by Variety revealed that both Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan will be making guest appearances in the film, reprising their respective roles as Pathaan and Major Kabir Dhaliwal from the previous YRF Spy Universe films.
