Matt Damon Wants To Collaborate With Shekhar Kapur

MUMBAI- Hollywood star Matt Damon, who is gearing up for the release of Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’, has expressed his desire to work with acclaimed Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur.

Damon is in India with filmmaker Christopher Nolan and actor Tom Holland for the promotion of their upcoming epic fantasy action film. During a press conference in Mumbai, the 55-year-old actor was asked about collaborating with an Indian filmmaker.

Damon said he would like to work with National Award-winning filmmaker Shekhar Kapur. He also revealed that he had an opportunity to star in Kapur’s 2002 epic war drama ‘The Four Feathers’ but could not take up the film as he was already working on ‘The Bourne Identity’.

Directed by Kapur, ‘The Four Feathers’ starred Heath Ledger, Wes Bentley, Djimon Hounsou and Kate Hudson and was based on A.E.W. Mason’s 1902 novel of the same name.

Meanwhile, Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ is an adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek epic and stars Damon as Odysseus, the Greek king of Ithaca, who embarks on a perilous journey home after the Trojan War. (IANS)
