Nidhi Dutta Expecting Blockbusters: ‘Border 2’ And A Baby!

MUMBAI (IANS)- Producer Nidhi Dutta, currently in her final trimester, is openly discussing the unique balancing act of motherhood and her work on “Border 2.” The film is a dream project she shares with her renowned filmmaker father, J.P. Dutta, and she anticipates heading directly from the film’s sets to the delivery room.

Nidhi, who is expecting her first child, is deeply involved in “Border 2″‘s third shoot schedule in Pune. She has been attending critical production meetings and remaining actively present on set, ensuring every detail upholds the legacy of the original film.

“This film is a dream I’ve seen with my father, and there’s no greater joy than seeing it come alive—even if that means juggling production schedules with baby kicks!” Nidhi told IANS. She expressed gratitude for her team’s “incredibly supportive” nature, adding, “This journey feels even more special with two heartbeats invested in it. I’m due anytime soon, so it looks like I’ll be going into delivery straight from the sets.”

A sequel to the highly acclaimed 1997 war drama “Border,” the upcoming movie is believed to be based on the India-Pakistan Kargil War of 1999. “Border 2” is slated for a theatrical release on January 23, 2026.
