Nikki Haley: Presidential Bid Decision Over Holidays
India-West News Desk
CLEMSON, SC – At her alma mater here on November 30, the former Governor of South Carolina governor Nikki Haley said she would make a decision on her run for the White House in 2024.
At Clemson University, the Republican, who has been teasing and toying with the idea ever since she left the Trump administration but also pledging she would not run if Donald Trump did, said if she were to run, she would go into it with full commitment.
With many in the GOP seeing Trump as a drag on the party, including Fox News, it would seem Haley is viewing this as an opportunity and that it wouldn’t taint her as a traitor with the base for reneging on her promise to Trump to sit aside if he were in the running.
At Clemson, she avoided blaming him for the poor mid-term showing. In the recent polls, she had campaigned in GA for the Trump-endorsed Herschel Walker against Democrat Raphael Warnock for the Senate seat there, creating a row when she said Warnock needed to be deported.
