On ‘Sorry Hrithik’ Trend, Hrithik Roshan Urges People To Wait For Facts
MUMBAI – Content creator Saurav Das of CJP sparked a viral social media trend that prompted actor Hrithik Roshan to comment publicly on his long-running dispute with actor and politician Kangana Ranaut.
The trend, ‘We need to apologize to Hrithik Roshan,’ surfaced after Das joked that friends had compared his appearance to a young Hrithik and questioned why Kangana was targeting him. The posts came amid criticism of Kangana over her recent remarks targeting Gen Z and women.
The post quickly gained traction, with social media users revisiting Hrithik’s years-long legal battle with Kangana.
Reacting to the online discussion, Hrithik urged people not to let changing public opinion shape their views and instead wait until all the facts are known.
He made the remarks in the comments section of a social media post by writer and branding consultant Freddy Birdy, who had referred to the viral trend.
‘My friend, siding with “A” just cause you don’t like “B” anymore is a small part of the larger systemic issue plaguing our society. I’ll wait, for when the context to it is the right one, and motivated by facts. That would be fair. I’ll wait. But then again, who cares anymore right?’ Hrithik wrote.
The dispute between Hrithik and Kangana began in 2016 after Kangana referred to him as her ‘silly ex’ during a media interaction. Hrithik denied the claim and initiated legal proceedings.
The case was first investigated by the Mumbai Police’s Crime Intelligence Unit before being transferred to the Crime Branch’s Criminal Intelligence Unit. In 2021, investigators filed a closure report, saying they found no evidence to substantiate the allegations. (IANS)
