Trump Rages: Kill Reporters, Should Never Have Left White House

LITITZ, PA – Former President Donald Trump is facing backlash after making inflammatory comments at a campaign rally here on November 3, where he seemed to condone violence against journalists and suggested he “shouldn’t have left” the White House after his 2020 defeat. The remarks have drawn criticism for promoting anti-democratic sentiments as he campaigns for re-election.
During the rally, Trump recounted the security measures around him, gesturing toward the press area and suggesting that any potential shooter targeting him would have to shoot “through the fake news” (the journalists present) to reach him.
These comments come as Trump recovers from two assassination attempts earlier this summer, and they have raised concerns about his willingness to incite hostility against the media. Democrats and journalists condemned the remarks as an attack on press freedom, with Ammar Moussa, Harris-Walz Director of Rapid Response, describing Trump’s words as “angry and unhinged.”
Contrarily, he then railed against the bullet proof glass around him saying it made him look bad on TV!
Trump also raised eyebrows by suggesting he should have remained in office after his 2020 defeat. “I shouldn’t have left,” Trump told supporters, before immediately pivoting to complaints about alleged election interference and unfounded claims of cheating by Democrats. His insistence on questioning the legitimacy of past and current elections has alarmed critics who view his remarks as undermining the democratic process.
The former president’s rhetoric intensified as he labeled Democrats “demonic,” ranted about polling discrepancies in Iowa as new surveys show him trailing there.
