Vance Suggests Epstein Files Protester Is ‘Illegal Immigrant’; Ro Khanna Fires Back

India-West News Desk

WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) slammed Vice President JD Vance after he suggested that a protester demanding the release of files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was an undocumented immigrant.

“This may be hard to believe @JDVance, but many U.S. citizens want to see pedophiles in the Epstein files held accountable,” Khanna, posted on October 19.

Khanna has been taking the lead in the full release of the Epstein files and been a staunch voice for the survivors of the criminal activities of Epstein. Donald Trump figures prominently in the papers that have been released so far and he has resisted openness and transparency.

The incident occurred at Vance’s North Carolina rally, where a man interrupted his speech to demand the release of the records. As Vance spoke about what he called a “corrupt, far-left cartel,” the protester standing behind him shouted, “God bless our children!” and “Release the Epstein files!”

Security removed the man as members of the crowd began chanting “USA.”

California Governor Gavin Newsom’s press office called the suggestion insulting, saying in a post that most American citizens, too, wanted justice for Epstein’s victims and accountability for those responsible.

The incident comes amid continued criticism of the Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein files. The administration had promised supporters that releasing the records would expose what they called the “deep state” and bring justice to survivors. Critics have since accused officials of withholding information and failing to provide transparency.
