WH Senior Deputy Press Secretary Kush Desai Moving To ODNI

WASHINGTON, DC – White House Senior Deputy Press Secretary Kush Desai is leaving the West Wing next month to take a senior communications position at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI.
Desai had been discussing the move with the ODNI since Jay Clayton was confirmed as director of national intelligence in early August. Clayton took over the agency after former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard resigned.
He joined the White House at the start of President Trump’s second term as a deputy press secretary after working for the Republican National Committee and Trump’s 2024 campaign.
Before joining the administration, Desai served as the RNC’s deputy battleground states and Pennsylvania communications director and as communications director for Iowa’s Republican Party. He later became senior deputy press secretary and special assistant to the president.
Desai’s new role will put him in charge of strategic communications at the ODNI, which coordinates the nation’s intelligence community.
