Filming With Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, ‘Surreal’ For Kartik Aaryan

JAIPUR, (ANI) – Actor Kartik Aaryan expressed his excitement about sharing screen space with Bollywood legends Madhuri Dixit Nene and Vidya Balan in the highly anticipated third installment of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise.

“I think every actor has those surreal moments when you know something magical is about to happen, even before the camera rolls. One such moment was filming with Vidya ma’am and Madhuri ma’am, where they both asked, ‘Kya lagta hai, kaun hai Manjulika?’” Kartik shared. “It was a personal milestone for me to shoot with both of them together.”

Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to be one of the biggest films of 2024. Kartik reprises his role as Rooh Baba, while Vidya Balan returns as Manjulika from the original film. However, the trailer introduces an intriguing twist: a mystery surrounding who the real Manjulika is—Vidya or Madhuri. The film also stars Triptii Dimri as Kartik’s love interest, with Sanjay Mishra and Rajpal Yadav returning in their comic roles.

Scheduled for a Diwali 2024 release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is expected to face stiff competition at the box office from Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again.

The Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise has become one of India’s most beloved horror-comedy series. The first film, released in 2007, starred Vidya Balan and Akshay Kumar, while the 2022 sequel featured Kartik alongside Tabu and Kiara Advani—both films becoming blockbusters.

At the trailer launch, Kartik and Vidya’s playful chemistry stole the spotlight. Vidya, draped in an elegant black saree, playfully pretended to hit Kartik, who matched her vibe in an all-black outfit. Together, they struck the iconic Bhool Bhulaiyaa pose for the cameras, embodying the essence of the film.
