Stones Pelted At Allu Arjun’s Hyderabad Home
HYDERABAD (ANI) – The Hyderabad residence of actor Allu Arjun came under attack with stones reportedly hurled by members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee. The protest stemmed from allegations linking Arjun to the chaos at Sandhya Theatre on December 4, which tragically led to the death of a woman named Revathi and injuries to her child.
Visuals circulating online depict shattered glass, broken pots, and damaged plants outside Arjun’s Jubilee Hills home. Despite the incident, neither Arjun nor his family has filed a complaint, according to the Jubilee Hills Police.
The unrest follows heightened tensions between the actor and the Telangana government. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated in the Assembly that police had denied permission for any events at Sandhya Theatre due to safety concerns. Despite these warnings, Allu Arjun allegedly attended the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule, climbed onto his car roof, and conducted a roadshow, exacerbating the situation at the congested RTC X Road.
In his defense, Allu Arjun expressed deep sorrow for the incident. “It was a tragic accident, and my heart goes out to the family. I’ve been monitoring the injured child’s recovery and am relieved to hear of his improvement,” he said. He also addressed the allegations, describing them as “character assassination.”
“I have worked in the film industry for 20 years, and this has been devastating. I deeply apologize for the incident but want to clarify that I had no direct involvement in the unfortunate events,” Arjun said, emphasizing that he had not even watched the film in theaters.
Through an Instagram post, Allu Arjun urged his fans to maintain decorum and refrain from abusive behavior online and offline.
The tragedy occurred during the Pushpa 2 premiere when a massive crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of Arjun. The chaos escalated, resulting in Revathi’s death. Following the incident, Arjun was briefly detained and later released on bail after furnishing a ₹50,000 bond.
