Ranveer-Deepika Welcome Second Daughter As Bollywood Pours In Wishes

MUMBAI-Bollywood couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone welcomed their second daughter on September 19, with wishes pouring in from the film industry.

Among the messages was one from filmmaker Aditya Dhar, director of Ranveer’s upcoming film ‘Dhurandhar’, who celebrated the arrival by referring to the couple’s two daughters.

“Pehle Lakshmi aayi, ab Saraswati bhi aa gayi!! So, so happy for you guys. Another little angel in the family. God bless her with all the love and happiness in the world (sic),” Dhar wrote.

Ranveer and Deepika announced the arrival of their second daughter on September 19 through a joint social media post featuring a tiny footprint, along with the words, “Welcome baby girl…19/9/2026…Dua, Deepika, Ranveer”.

Actor Vicky Kaushal congratulated the couple, writing, “God bless! Congratulations.”

Actress Alia Bhatt reacted with red heart, evil eye, sun and dance emojis, while actress Kriti Sanon wrote, “Awww!! congratulations you guys!!! (red heart emojis). Dua has a baby sister!!! Such a blessing.”

Veteran actor Anil Kapoor wrote, “Congratulations Girls are the best,” while actor Riteish Deshmukh said, “Such great news…. Many many congratulations!!!!!! Loads love to Dua & Dua’s baby sister.”

Actress Sonam Kapoor shared, “What a dream…congratulations,” while actor Ayushmann Khurrana added, “Lots of love and blessings”.

Ranveer and Deepika were seen seeking blessings at Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple on Friday, a day before the birth of their second daughter. The couple had also visited the temple before welcoming their elder daughter, Dua.

Deepika and Ranveer announced their second pregnancy in April this year with a picture of Dua holding a positive pregnancy test kit.
