Prefer Singing For Independent Albums Over Films: Altaf Raja
AYODHYA (ANI) – Singer Altaf Raja expressed his gratitude for the opportunities that have shaped his successful career in the music industry. During his performance at the Ayodhya Mahotsav recently, the ‘Tum to Thehre’ hitmaker reflected on his journey.
“I have worked extremely hard to reach where I am today. Although I come from a family of Qawals, I never imagined becoming a playback singer. But destiny had its own plans,” he shared. “I sang for many films and albums, delivering several hit tracks, and I am truly grateful to God for those blessings.”
When discussing his preference for music, Altaf Raja revealed that he enjoys singing for independent albums more than for films. “In films, we have to sing according to the situation. But when singing for our own albums, we have more creative freedom… it allows us to express the heart’s true feelings,” he explained.
Altaf Raja is renowned for popularizing the use of Urdu shayari in Hindi songs. His debut album Tum to Thehre Pardesi became a massive hit, earning him recognition and making him a household name.
