‘Splitsvilla’ Mirrors Modern Love, Says Host Sunny Leone

MUMBAI – Sunny Leone is set to return for the sixteenth season of MTV Splitsvilla, a project she describes as being incredibly close to her heart. As she prepares for the launch of the new chapter titled ‘Pyaar ya Paisa,’ the host noted how the long-running series has served as a mirror for the evolving nature of romance. According to Leone, the show has matured alongside shifting mindsets and the complex realities of modern love.

This season introduces a high-stakes choice between romance and financial gain, a twist designed to test emotional bonds and push contestants into unexpected territory. Leone expressed her excitement for fans to witness the drama and passion when the journey begins on January 9.

Joining her this year is Karan Kundrra, who returns to the network after a six year hiatus. Kundrra likened the experience to a homecoming and shared his curiosity regarding how the thirty two single participants will navigate their feelings when money is introduced as a competing incentive.

The production has also recruited Nia Sharma and Uorfi Javed to serve as mischief makers, tasked with tempting the contestants and stirring up conflict at every turn.
