Police Seek Five Suspects Following Vandalism At Hindu Temple

CARY, NC – Police here are investigating the “vandalism” of a statue outside a Hindu temple after surveillance footage captured a group of individuals fleeing the scene in the early hours of January 18.
Detectives said the incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. on January 18 at the Sri Venkateswara Temple, here. Temple security footage showed at least five people running toward a small sedan before speeding away. The Dvarapalaka statue at the temple’s entrance was later found damaged.
Investigators are now working to identify the individuals and establish what led to the vandalism, ABC11 reported.
