RENO, NV- Law enforcement agencies have recovered more than $500,000 worth of stolen cargo and arrested three California men following an investigation into the theft of semi-truck trailers from the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center, authorities said.

The individuals Arashdeep Singh, 21, of Fremont; Deepindeer Singh, 26, of Manteca; and Harman Pal Singh, 25, of Lodi, were transported to the Washoe County Jail.

The Storey County Sheriff’s Office said detectives were notified on January 29 that two semi-truck trailers had been stolen from the industrial hub. Investigators coordinated with the trailer owner and, with assistance from the Sparks Police Department, traced the trailers to an industrial area in Sparks.

Deputies, Sparks police officers, and the Regional Crime Suppression Unit placed the trailers under surveillance. On January 30, a sheriff’s office detective observed a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle arrive at the location, attach one of the stolen trailers, and drive away, authorities said.

Sparks police patrol officers conducted traffic stops on both vehicles shortly afterward, leading to the arrest of three suspects.

According to the sheriff’s office, each suspect was booked on felony charges of possession of stolen property valued at $100,000 or more, along with attempted possession of stolen property exceeding $100,000.

“Approximately $500,000 in stolen product was recovered during the operation,” the Storey County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
