Flipperachi Recalls Moment He Realized ‘FA9LA’ Became India Sensation
NEW DELHI- Bahraini rapper Flipperachi said he realized his track ‘FA9LA’, featured in Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar’, had become a phenomenon in India when an outpouring of videos, crowd reactions, and messages from across the country began arriving steadily.
Asked when and how he came to know that ‘FA9LA’, which featured Akshaye Khanna in the Hindi film, had struck a chord with Indian audiences, Flipperachi, whose real name is Hussam Aseem, said, “When the videos, crowd reactions, and messages from India came flooding in consistently.”
“That’s when I knew we hit something big,” said the rapper, known for blending Khaleeji sounds with modern beats.
Asked what performing in India would represent for him, the leading figure in Arab hip-hop said: “It would represent growth. Every new market is a new chapter.”
“It’s validation in a way, but also motivation to keep building. It’s always been in my pursuit to level up, and this is definitely a reflection of that,” he added. Flipperachi is scheduled to perform in Mumbai on March 13. (IANS)
