NEW YORK, NY – Seven Indian American women have been named to Barron’s 2026 list of the 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance, reflecting their presence in senior roles across major financial institutions.

The executives recognized on the list hold leadership positions across banking and asset management firms, overseeing investment portfolios and global strategy.

Anu Aiyengar, global head of advisory and mergers and acquisitions at J.P. Morgan, is among those featured. Originally from Kerala, she has led one of the firm’s active M&A businesses.

Neesha Hathi, managing director at Charles Schwab, is set to lead a unified wealth advisory and banking organization beginning July 2026, overseeing platforms with nearly $12 trillion in client assets.

 Sonal Desai, chief investment officer for Franklin Templeton Fixed Income, manages more than $215 billion in assets. She has a PhD from Northwestern University.

Gunjan Kedia, CEO of U.S. Bancorp, began her career selling air fresheners door-to-door before pursuing engineering at Delhi Technological University and later studying at Carnegie Mellon University.

Goldman Sachs executives Meena Lakdawala-Flynn, co-head of Global Private Wealth Management, and Nishi Somaiya, global co-head of Wealth Management, are also included. Both hold senior roles managing investments for ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Savita Subramanian of Bank of America, a quantitative strategist, is also among those recognized.
