Ambani Meets Trump In Doha
DOHA, (ANI) – Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani met with President Donald Trump and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during a visit to Doha on May 14.
In a video, Ambani is seen shaking hands with President Trump and engaging in a brief conversation. The interaction took place during a state dinner hosted in Trump’s honor at the Lusail Palace, which Ambani attended as a guest.
While the high-profile meeting sparked speculation about possible business or investment talks, Reuters reported that Ambani did not hold any formal discussions related to business or investments during the visit.
Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund, the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), has made several investments in Reliance businesses over the years, strengthening economic ties between the Gulf state and Ambani’s conglomerate. Ambani also maintains strategic partnerships with major U.S. tech companies such as Google and Meta, which have invested in Reliance Jio in recent years.
Further details about Ambani’s agenda in Qatar was unclear.
