HOUSTON, TX — Arushi Garg, known as The Snazzy Mom across social media platforms, has carved her name into history as the first Indian American winning the reality show “Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge.” The 38-year-old triumphed in the electrifying finale that unfolded on August 8.
Garg’s victory has not only bestowed her with the coveted champion’s title but has also brought her a $50,000 prize. Her innovative design has been transformed into an exclusive die-cast toy, which will now be available on Mattel Creations. Fans and collectors alike have the chance to acquire this collectible during the pre-sale window, which runs to September 4.
The gripping two-part finale showcased Garg’s creative genius as she undertook the task of converting the iconic 1996 Nissan Skyline into a life-size marvel for Hot Wheels enthusiasts. Named “Rally Resilience” by Garg herself, the stunning creation boasts a radiant red hue, enhanced with 24-inch wheels, extended fenders, and luminous light bars symbolizing attributes of strength, bravery, kindness, and courage. A distinctive touch lies in the hidden inscription “never quit,” revealed under UV light, encapsulating Garg’s indomitable spirit.
Garg’s journey to victory began with a standout performance in an earlier episode, where she astounded audiences by transforming a Maruti Van into the captivating “Jaipur Jewel.” Hailing from Jaipur, Garg’s tribute to her late father, who passed away when she was 14 and who cherished the Maruti Van during her childhood, added a poignant layer to her success. This pivotal win not only rewarded her with a $25,000 prize but also secured her place in the grand finale.
She faced formidable competition from fellow finalists “Jersey” Jim Farrell and Nick Harrison. The show was overseen by a distinguished panel of judges, including host Rutledge Wood, resident judges Dalal Elsheikh and Hertrech Eugene Jr., Ted Wu, Vice President and Global Head of Design for Vehicles at Mattel, and the legendary car enthusiast and celebrity guest judge Jay Leno.
“Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge,” is now available for streaming on Peacock. For those who wish to relive the thrilling moments, Season 1 is set to re-air on the USA Network, commencing on Monday, September 4 at 11 p.m. ET/PT.
Hot Wheels, now celebrating its 55th year, has transcended its toy origins to become a symbol in both automotive and pop culture.
