As An Actor You Have Limits: Sonu Sood
MUMBAI, (ANI)– On January 13, actor Sonu Sood shared the reason behind choosing the action-packed genre for his directorial debut, Fateh. Known for his action-oriented roles, Sood reflected on his passion for elevating Bollywood’s action sequences to match global standards.
Speaking about his decision, the Happy New Year actor said:
“I often wondered why Bollywood films don’t receive the same recognition for action as foreign films. Why don’t they talk about our action sequences? As an actor, your role is limited by the production budget and the script, so I always felt constrained. But when I became a director, I decided to bring my vision of action to life.”
Sonu Sood revealed that he meticulously planned the film’s action scenes, recalling one sequence that took an incredible 2.5 months to perfect:
“When you’re the director, you can design every detail of an action scene. I wrote every move—whether the character gets hit with a plate, spoon, pen, or even a drill. The time invested in crafting these scenes has made a difference. People are appreciating the effort, and it’s rewarding to see hard work turn into applause.”
Directed by Sonu Sood, Fateh is a gripping tale inspired by real-life incidents during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on the fight against cybercrime. Reflecting on the emotional journey of stepping into the director’s chair, Sood said:
“Stepping into the director’s chair for Fateh has been a journey of passion and purpose. This action saga sheds light on the unseen battles fought in the shadows of the digital world.”
During the promotions, Sood expressed excitement about the teaser release, adding:
“It’s a glimpse into a world we’ve poured our hearts into creating. I can’t wait for viewers to experience the adrenaline, emotions, and sheer power of Fateh.”
Describing the film as “an ode to every hero who dares to fight back against impossible odds,” Sonu Sood hopes Fateh will inspire and electrify audiences.
The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah, adding depth and charisma to this action-packed narrative.
