Ashok Patnaik Announces Candidacy For Cerritos City Council

CERRITOS, CA – Ashok (Pat) Patnaik has officially declared his candidacy for the Cerritos City Council in the 2025 election. A longtime member of the community, Patnaik and his family have lived in Cerritos for over 25 years.

Patnaik brings extensive experience in public service, having served the city in various capacities for a combined 14 years. His roles have included Commissioner for Parks and Recreation, Commissioner for Economic Development, member of the Safety Committee, member of the Bond Measures team, and a participant in the Cerritos College Foundation recruitment team.

Professionally, Patnaik is a commercial banker specializing in supporting small businesses. He holds a mechanical engineering degree and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

If elected, Patnaik plans to prioritize public safety by collaborating closely with the local Sheriff’s station, enhancing resources for schools to support student success, and continuing to improve services for seniors. He emphasizes commitment to bipartisan leadership characterized by ethics, transparency, and accountability.
