Ayushmann Khurrana Shows Support For LGBTQIA+ Community

MUMBAI (IANS) – Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is empowering the LGBTQIA+ community in Chandigarh during Pride Month by helping them become entrepreneurs.

Ayushmann has invested in building food trucks for the community, enabling them to achieve self-reliance through the food business. These food trucks, named ‘Sweekar,’ emphasize the significance of acceptance for the community.

Dhananjay Chauhan, the first transgender student at Panjab University and an influential voice for the community in the state, tweeted pictures of the food truck and expressed gratitude to Ayushmann Khurrana for supporting transgender individuals. The tweet also highlighted the need for support from the Chandigarh Administration and Panjab University to provide space for transgender individuals to start their food businesses.

Ayushmann stated, “In my opinion, an actor should have social responsibility. It is the love and support of the people that enables us to contribute towards empowering individuals and communities and raising awareness about crucial issues. I have always believed that inclusivity is a fundamental aspect of nation-building.”

He further added, “Every individual should make an effort to help others as much as possible and inspire others to do the same. When we recognize the symbiotic nature of our society and understand that we can only thrive together, we can achieve our greater goal of creating a harmonious world that celebrates diversity.”
