‘Expats’ Celebrates South Asians Representation

LOS ANGELES, CA – In a starry event held on February 7, Amazon MGM Studios, in collaboration with Gold House and Tremendous, hosted a special screening of Episode 104, in a celebration of South Asian representation, of the Prime Video limited series, ‘Expats.’ Held at The London West Hollywood, it featured a Q&A session.
The Q&A session had director-writer Lulu Wang, series regular Sarayu Blue (Never Have I Ever), and writer Gursimran Sandhu. The engaging discussion was moderated by Rasha Goel.
Cast members Rabbani Kaur, Rajiv Sharma, and Adrian Dev along with Anjali Bhimani, Rizwan Manji, Nik Dodani, Sujata Day, Ritesh Rajan, Natasha Kalimada, Maureen Bharoocha, Priya Jain, Shiavni Shah, and Abigail Hing Wen, attended.
Expats, set in 2014 Hong Kong, revolves around three American women – Margaret (Nicole Kidman), Hilary (Sarayu Blue), and Mercy (Ji-Young Yoo) – whose lives intertwine following a sudden family tragedy. The series delves into themes of privilege, exploring the complexities that arise when the line between victimhood and culpability becomes blurred.
