FedEx CEO Raj Subramaniam Wins Top Biz Award For Asian Americans

NEW YORK, NY (IANS) – Raj Subramaniam, the President and CEO of FedEx Corporation, is set to be honored with the 2023 Pinnacle Award at the prestigious 2023 Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award ceremony. Instituted by the Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC), this annual gala celebrates the achievements of Asian American executives and leaders who have made a significant impact in their respective industries.

The award ceremony, which will take place on September will honor Subramaniam, along with 50 other Asian American executives who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and excellence in their careers.

The Pinnacle Award is the highest honor presented at the event.

Earlier this year, Subramaniam was bestowed with the 2023 Horatio Alger Award, an accolade presented to esteemed individuals who have overcome adversity to achieve both professional and personal success. Subramaniam’s journey began in 1987 when he immigrated to the US to attend Syracuse University, where he earned a master’s degree in chemical engineering. In 1991, he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a master’s in business administration before embarking on his remarkable career at FedEx as an associate analyst later that same year.

With over three decades of industry experience at FedEx, Raj Subramaniam has emerged as a global leader known for his keen business insights and unwavering focus on globalization. His strategic vision and contributions have played a pivotal role in the success of FedEx, and his leadership continues to guide the company as it revolutionizes the transportation and logistics industry.

The AABDC will also pay tribute to the legacy of the late Ivan Menezes, CEO of Diageo, with a special Ivan Lifetime Achievement Award. Ivan Menezes, originally from Pune, was one of Britain’s longest serving and most respected FTSE Chief Executives. He transformed Diageo into the world’s leading premium drinks company, accounting for 10 percent of the UK’s total food and drinks exports before his passing in June.
