NEW YORK, NY – Renowned business leader, humanitarian, and Grammy-nominated artist Chandrika Tandon has received her second Grammy nomination, this time for her groundbreaking album Triveni, which has been nominated for a 2025 Grammy Award in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category.
Triveni, a collaboration between Tandon, Grammy-winning South African flutist Wouter Kellerman, and Japanese-American cellist Eru Matsumoto, merges diverse musical influences and cultures to create a healing experience. The album blends ancient mantras with the soothing sounds of flute and cello, and its mission is to unite cultural roots, build bridges, and spread healing energy globally.
Tandon expressed her excitement and gratitude for the recognition, saying, “The album is a true confluence of three artistic spirits united in a higher purpose of music for healing. These mantras hold profound meaning, recognizing our inner fullness—ancient words with vibrations far beyond our comprehension. This nomination will allow more people to experience their own healing power.”
This Grammy nomination marks Tandon’s second, having previously been nominated in 2011 in the Contemporary World Music category for Soul Call, an album that fused Carnatic, Hindustani, and Western musical influences.
In addition to her musical achievements, Tandon has led a multi-dimensional life as a global business leader and humanitarian. She is known for her leadership in education, music, and philanthropy, particularly in the areas of empowerment and unity. Recently honored with the Ban-Ki Moon Award for Women’s Empowerment, Tandon has also performed for prominent audiences, including a performance for 300,000 people at Diwali at Times Square, which featured India’s Prime Minister. Her career spans leadership roles in business, as well as significant contributions to educational and charitable initiatives.
Tandon’s career has been marked by numerous accolades, including the Gallatin Medal, the Walter Nichols Medal for leadership and integrity, and recognition from prestigious institutions like NYU and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She has performed at iconic venues like the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and Nassau Coliseum, and continues to inspire audiences with her music and philanthropic work.
