Harvard Students Protest Visit Of Pakistani Delegates After Pahalgam Attack
WASHINGTON, DC (ANI)- In the wake of the recent terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, Indian students at Harvard Kennedy School have urged US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to revoke the visas of Pakistani delegates scheduled to attend the upcoming Pakistan Conference 2025 at Harvard University.
In a letter addressed to Rubio, students Surabhi Tomar and Abhishek Chaudhari, writing on behalf of concerned Indian students, condemned the April 22 attack, calling it a “faith-based massacre.” They cited survivor accounts that attackers demanded religious identification and recitation of Islamic prayers—those unable to comply or identified as Hindu were executed.
“This was not an indiscriminate act of violence, but a targeted massacre,” the letter stated.
The students urged Rubio to recommend revoking the visas of all Pakistani officials associated with the event.
In a separate letter to Harvard leadership, the students appealed for institutional support, stating, “Harvard has long stood for equity, global justice, and human dignity. We ask for the same clarity and compassion for Hindu and Indian students grieving this tragedy.”
