India Appoints Mahaveer Singhvi As Consul General In Toronto

TORONTO– Mahaveer Singhvi has assumed charge as the new Consul General of India in Toronto, the Consulate General of India announced, marking a key development in India-Canada engagement across priority sectors.
His appointment comes with a focus on advancing cooperation in trade, technology, education, and innovation.
In a statement, the Consulate General of India in Toronto said Singhvi “looks forward to working closely with Canadian stakeholders and the vibrant Indian diaspora to strengthen mutual trust, expand partnerships, and build a forward-looking partnership rooted in shared values and opportunities.”
Singhvi brings a multidisciplinary professional background to the role, with qualifications as a lawyer, Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, MBA, and Cost and Management Accountant.
His experience spans strategic, economic, and global affairs, including both bilateral and multilateral engagement.
