Indian With Rap Sheet Held By ICE In Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested a 26-year-old Indian citizen in Los Angeles who now faces possible deportation proceedings, according to the agency.

ICE said Parminderpal Singh remains in immigration custody pending removal from the United States.

Authorities said Singh has a criminal record that includes allegations involving vehicle theft, grand theft, trespassing, and vandalism. ICE did not release additional details about his immigration status or any scheduled court proceedings.

The arrest comes amid continued immigration enforcement operations of non-citizens accused or convicted of criminal offenses.

Recent ICE enforcement actions involving Indian nationals have included cases tied to older deportation orders, immigration violations, and criminal allegations.

Earlier in California, ICE also arrested Aman Kumar outside a Fresno courthouse following a hit-and-run case involving a four-year-old child. Authorities alleged Kumar was living in the United States illegally at the time.
