WASHINGTON, DC (ANI) – Vice President Kamala Harris held a telephonic conversation with former US President Donald Trump on Tuesday (local time) and said that she was “grateful” that he was safe, according to a White House official.
The White House official termed the conversation between two leaders “cordial and brief.” In a statement, White House official said, “Vice President Harris called former President Trump this afternoon to speak with him directly to express that she is grateful he is safe. It was a cordial and brief conversation.”
Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspect accused of attempting to assassinate former US President Donald Trump, has been charged with possession of a firearm as a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
Earlier, Harris said that she is “glad” that Donald Trump is safe. “Violence has no place in America,” she added.
Trump affirmed that both President Joe Biden and Harris had called and were “so nice.”
“He (Biden) was so nice to me. In one way I sort of wish the call wasn’t made, because I do feel a little — he’s so nice. ‘I’m so sorry about what happened,’ and all that,” Trump recounted at the rally.
“Same with Kamala. She could not have been nicer,” Trump added. When the crowd booed, “No, it was very nice,” Trump said.

Pure politics! They would’ve been happy if honorable Trump would be out of the presidential race. This is my own honest opinion.
