MUMBAI – Kapil Sharma, host of The Great Indian Kapil Show, revealed that Coldplay expressed interest in appearing on the show. The British band, which held concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad last month, reportedly reached out to the show through email.

Sharma humorously shared that while people were buying tickets for Coldplay’s concerts, the band emailed the show expressing their desire to be a part of it. He responded, “Humne kaha le toh aate, humara chal nahi raha abhi.” (We told them they could come, but our show isn’t running right now.) Sharma also requested Netflix to keep the show going.

Addressing the infamous rift with co-actor Sunil Grover, Sharma said, “Season 3 is for them, for us, it’s just another episode. We’re used to 200-episode series and don’t stop until there’s a fight.”

The Great Indian Kapil Show, which stars Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur, and Archana Puran Singh, is set for its third season. The show will feature a similar format to Sharma’s previous shows The Kapil Sharma Show and Comedy Nights With Kapil. The second season saw a range of celebrity guests, including Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Rekha, and Sudha Murthy.
