Musical On Krishna Drawing Attention In India
NEW DELHI (ANI) – After a successful run in Mumbai, the musical Rajadhiraaj: Love. Life. Leela captivated audiences in Delhi. The production, which chronicles Lord Krishna’s life and adventures, saw notable Bollywood stars like Shahid Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in attendance at its grand opening at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Auditorium.
Shahid Kapoor praised the production, saying, “It’s a great opportunity to watch it in Delhi. Everything about Krishna motivates us; his qualities, even his playfulness, remind us to keep the child within alive. The show was spectacularly done.”
Written by acclaimed screenwriter Prasoon Joshi and directed by musical theatre expert Shruti Sharma, the mega theatrical features over 100 performers. With live singing, stunning visuals, a soul-stirring soundtrack by Bollywood composers Sachin-Jigar, and costumes by Neeta Lulla, the musical brings to life Krishna’s journey from Vraj to Dwarka.
Conceptualized by Dhanraj Nathwani and presented by Bhoomi Nathwani, the show’s portrays Krishna’s timeless leelas. Renowned production designer Omung Kumar’s work vividly recreated ancient India, immersing the audience in the colors and sounds of Krishna’s adventures.
The Delhi premiere drew an enthusiastic crowd, including bureaucrats, influential figures, and Bollywood celebrities, making it a memorable celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage.
