SAN FRANCISCO, CA – In partnership with Chef Tony Gemignani, the renowned 13-time World Pizza Champion, Princess Cruises has set a new Guinness World Records title for the “World’s Largest Pizza Party.” This milestone was achieved simultaneously across multiple venues aboard its fleet, with guests enjoying over 60,000 slices of freshly prepared pizza.
Chef Gemignani crafted two exclusive pizzas for Princess Cruises, featuring unique combinations such as Soppressata sausage with hot honey and agave pesto with fresh goat cheese. In addition, he shared recipes for three of his award-winning pizzas, further reinforcing Princess Cruises’ reputation for offering the best pizza at sea.
To ensure authenticity, Princess chefs were personally trained by Chef Gemignani at his Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco and onboard Princess ships. This meticulous training ensured that every slice met the high standards set by the world-renowned pizza master.
This achievement marks Princess Cruises’ second Guinness World Records title, following their record for the largest marriage vow renewal ceremony in multiple venues in 2020. Chef Gemignani, a holder of several other records including “World’s Longest Pizza,” “Most People Tossing Pizza Dough at Once,” “Largest Pizza Base Spun in Two Minutes,” and “Most Consecutive Pizza Rolls Across the Shoulders in 30 Seconds,” expressed his excitement about the new record.
“Setting this new Guinness World Records title with Princess Cruises has been an incredible experience,” said Chef Gemignani. “I’m thrilled to share my passion for pizza with guests from around the world and to be a part of this unforgettable event.”
